We said farewell to Citrus Hills B&B on Monday morning (3/30) and headed north on I 75. It didn’t take long and we had left the 80 degree temperatures and began to layer up, its just amazing how quickly the temperature changes. We made a stop at Magnolia Plantation and purchased pecans, Georgia Marmalade and Orange Blossom honey. Camp site just below Atlanta Ga. 350 miles so far.
Tuesday 3/31, finished Georgia, through Tennessee and 11 miles into Kentucky. Another 300+ miles, still going north on I 75.Cloudy,showery weather ,cool 52,but easy on the eyes not having to deal with sunshine glare.
Wednesday 4/1`/09 ,10:30 am time to get out and visit one of many sights Kentucky has to offer. We stopped for about 1 hour to tour this amazing Artisan Center in Berea Kentucky. The band is made of sticks ,the musicians are composed of pieces of metal welded together. The picture of the jockey riding the horse also made of metal. These are only 2 of hundreds of other locally made art. Pottery, wood, basket weaving etc. At 330 we arrived at Jackson Center home of Airstream.
